Possessing a stun gun or a pepper spray has become quite common as it is good self- defense against any attacker. With the economies growing at a fast pace, the number of people working and high paying demanding jobs has become a common thing. Late nights and traveling alone at odd hours has become quite a regular feature with the offices working very late hours.
Keeping a stun baton or a pepper spray provides the person with some confidence as regards his or her personal security. A stun gun does not disable the attacker permanently and has only a temporary effect that gives the victim enough time to escape from the place. The stun gun provides only a low ampere charge but at a high voltage so is disabling at that time but does not do any permanent harm. The stun gun is therefore, a good option for personal security. There are stun guns that do not look like a gun and therefore, do not make the attacker alert and can also be carried easily in the purse or a bag.
A pepper spray or Oleoresin capsicum spray is also a good tool for personal security. The pepper spray disables the attacker completely not leaving him in a position to follow the victim. The effect of the pepper spray is also temporary but it is really disabling causing a lot of discomfort to the attacker. It gives the victim enough time to escape from the place.
Some tips on using the pepper spray effectively are:
* Use the pepper spray on the attacker and take him by surprise. You must act soon before he gets any time to react.
* The pepper spray must be directly aimed at the attacker and sprayed for sometime (it should not be used for very long or for a very less time).
* One must be sure of how to use the pepper spray and read the instructions carefully because in case of a situation wherein you have to use it you should not be groping around in the dark.
* You should keep it in an easily accessible place.
* Once the attacker is hit and is disabled just run and escape from the scene.

If you are skilled in medical translation, you can start the business with only yourself. If not, you will need to hire translators. You will want to find people who are fluent in the language they wish to translate. Native speakers or people who grew up in a bilingual home usually make the best candidates. You will need someone who has a background in medicine. They do not need to be experts in every field of medicine as many companies assign their employees to a particular discipline. They need to be familiar with basic medical supplies, as well as medical imaging supplies and medical surgical supplies. Most employers will have tests which they can administer to potential employees to ensure that their skills are top notch. On your job day one, you may need to take care of medical surgical supplies.
Next, you will want to find a location for your business. Some medical translation services are run out of private homes, but if you want your company to expand you will need to find office space. Starting a medical translation business is like starting any other business. You will need to speak with your state’s department of revenue to make sure that you have completed all the necessary paperwork. You will need to get a business license and collect employment forms from your employees. You will need to set up a business banking account and apply for a business credit card. Medical translation services are in high demand and if you work hard at starting your business, you should find it to be a profitable endeavor and that soon you will be able to expand to cover many more languages.

Lowering the temperature of any closed space is called industrial refrigeration. This may be done by transferring the heat from that closed space elsewhere. Industrial refrigeration is the high capacity industrial refrigeration used in most commercial applications. In industrial refrigeration the most widely used industrial refrigeration cycle is the Vapour-compression cycle.
This industrial refrigeration system uses a liquid refrigerant which is constantly circulated throughout as the medium which transfers the heat. A typical single stage vapour-compression system has four components. These are the compressor, the condenser, the expansion valve, and the evaporator. The refrigerant enters the compressor in the form of saturated vapour. Here it is compressed to a higher pressure, which results in a higher temperature. The refrigerant is now in a hot, compressed state and exists as a superheated vapour. This superheated vapour is forced through the condenser, where it is cooled with the help of cool water or air flowing through tubes. Many systems use a method called ammonia refrigeration.
The superheated vapour is then condensed back to a liquid form, and now is in the form of saturated liquid. This is forced through the expansion valve, where it looses a lot of pressure. The reduction in pressure causes a partial adiabatic evaporation of the coolant. This reduces the temperature of the refrigerant to an extent where it is cooler than the area to be cooled.
This cold mixture of liquid and vapour refrigerant is forced through the evaporator, where the warm air evaporates the liquid portion of the refrigerant. In order to complete the industrial refrigeration cycle, the refrigerant in vapour form, available from the evaporator, which is a saturated vapour is sent back to the compressor. This completes a cycle in Industrial Refrigeration.

The words “sorority” and “fraternity” are used to describe any social and charitable organization, like The Lions Club, Rotary International or Epsilon Sigma Alpha. “Fraternity” usually refers to both male-only and mixed-gender associations, while “sorority” is used to refer to the female only equivalent.
The Phi Beta Kappa may be credited with many traditions of fraternities and sororities such as its secrecy, introduction of a code of high morality, rituals, secret handshakes, badges of membership and most importantly oaths. The clothing of Phi Beta Kappa members was so designed as to be reminiscent of Greek clothing. This is a tradition in most sororities where even today sorority clothing and fraternity clothing are similar to ancient Greek clothing.
Between the years 1827 and 1825 a large number of fraternities and sororities were formed. Most of these were based upon the standard sorority template provided by the Phi Beta Kappa and as such each has their own rituals, secret handshakes, passwords and oaths. The more famous of these sororities were the “Union Triad” and the “Miami Triad”.
Further growth of these sororities and fraternities was stunted for a short period owing to The American Civil War. After the end of the War, the entire fraternity system saw a phenomenal growth between the late 19th and the early 20th centuries, in terms of both chapters of existing organizations as well as number of organizations. One of the main reasons for this was the return of veteran members as students and the reopening of schools. This period also saw the standardization of fraternity life, including the calendar of events in the year, the merchandise the members used, the process to be followed for admitting new members, etc. This was done in order to reduce the need for explaining new members about the fraternity or sorority functions. Today, you can order fraternity clothing on a handful of websites.
The Alpha Phi Alpha created history when it opened a chapter in 1906 at Cornell University , by being the first intercollegiate fraternity to be established exclusively for people of African descent. This history of Greek sororities is very colourful and is a very important facet of the whole history of both student organizations as well as the history of America .
