Parts of an Aircraft
An aircraft has different parts that have been designed for a specific purpose. The Wings of an aircraft are there to generate the life that holds the aircraft in the air. The Jet engines, located just below the wings, are there to generate the thrust that is required to push the aircraft ahead. The smaller wings near the tail of the aircraft are there to control the movement of the aircraft. The aircraft has a Horizontal and a Vertical Stabilizer to that help it to fly straight. The vertical stabilizer has part called Rudder that is used to deflect the aircraft to the right or left. Similarly the horizontal wing has a part called Elevator that is used to deflect the tail down or up. The wings have an outward hinged part called Aileron which is used to roll the wins from one side to the other. Spoilers can also be used for the same purpose. It is the body or the Fuselage that holds all the aircraft parts together.
Fasteners
Fasteners are devices in hardware that are used to join two or more things or objects together. Again fasteners may be used to close a box, envelope, a bag or to keep together the open sides of some material that is flexible, or for attaching a lid to a container. . Sometimes some types of works of wood use some extra tools for internal reinforcement. Though they are not fasteners of general purpose but they might be included in the category as they are used for the purpose of joining. The furniture that is supplied in flat packs uses cam dowel that are locked by cam locks. These cam locks are also known as conformat fasteners. Though there are many types of material that may be used to join one thing with the other but all of them can not be considered as fasteners. Like a rope, a wire, a string, a chain, a cable, etc can not be considered as fasteners.
Bearings
Bearings are devices that control the relative motion between two parts of a machine. The motion might be rotational or linear. The classification of bearings is done according to the type of motion they allow. Common motors have axial/linear and radial/rotary bearings. A linear bearing is one that allows motion in a straight line. A rotary bearing also known as thrust bearing allows motion over a central point as in a wheel. Another type of bearing is the spherical bearing like ball joints that are used in car suspensions.
